Vacuum replication is a low-cost, reliable method typically used for small batch replication. The high quality of the product is directly related to the quality of the master model.

Tolerances for vacuum composite mold parts depend on the accuracy of the master model, part geometry and casting material. Generally speaking, a shrinkage rate of 0.15% is normal. Vacuum silicone remolding is often used in manual plate making. Vacuum re-forming is to make a silicone mold from a product prototype under vacuum conditions, and then use the mold to cast a replica identical to the product prototype under vacuum conditions. The silicone mold has low cost, short production cycle, and has a competitive advantage in the market, and is suitable for making small batches of handmade boards. The advantages of silicone prototype are fast time, low cost, and low processing failure rate. A silicone mold can make more than 20 pieces.

Operation steps for small batch production of vacuum laminating prototype:

Step 1: Before making the CNC silicone prototype, make a prototype first. Use CNC machining, SLA rapid prototyping or 3D printing to print product prototypes.

Step 2: After the product prototype is completed, surround the prototype with a board and prepare to open the mold.

The third step is to pour the liquid silica gel evacuated by the vacuum machine into the mold to cover all the products.

Step 4: Put the mold into the oven to bake to accelerate the curing and molding of the silicone mold.

Step 5: After drying, cut the silicone mold, take out the prototype from the mold, and prepare the silicone mold.

Step 6: Inject the liquid rubber material required for the product into the silicone mold, vacuum the material, dry it, and copy the finished product.

Step 7: The service life of the transparent silicone mold is about 20 times.
