Under normal circumstances, the compensation of machining centers generally includes tool radius compensation and length compensation! The tool radius compensation instructions are generally G40, G41, and G42. So what does all this mean? Next, let me briefly introduce it to you.

1.G41, this is mainly the left deviation radius compensation, which means to offset one tool radius to the left along the tool forward direction.

2.G42, generally refers to right-side radius compensation, which means to compensate a tool radius to the right along the tool advancement direction.

3.X, Y, establish the end point coordinate value of the tool straight segment.

4.G40 generally refers to the tool radius compensation cancellation command.

During use, we must use the G00 or G01 command to establish and cancel tool radius compensation, not G02 or G03. At the same time, the switching of the tool radius compensation plane must be performed in the compensation cancellation mode.
