Brief analysis of rapid prototype making process ①

First, receive image files

1. Customers need to provide 3D graphic files in commonly used formats such as STP and PRT. Pro/E, UG commonly used drawing software can convert formats;

2. Process description documents in JPG or Office format, preferably with renderings;

3. Vector graphics files in CDR, AI and other formats are used to produce film (must remember to convert);

4. If it is a structural prototype, it is better to provide a BOM list, which can quickly identify the parts to be produced, so as to prevent missing or over-doing;

Second, review the graphic files

1. Check the drawings sent by the customer in a comprehensive and detailed way to see if there are any phenomena such as interference, broken surfaces, missing parts, etc. in the 3D drawings;

2. Check the process description and confirm the feasibility analysis of each process;

3. Check the BOM to see if the quantity is clear and whether the product parts are missing.

4. Check the vector image file, and check whether the scale of the image file is correct;

5. Estimate the production cost and delivery date of the product according to the documents provided by the customer;

Third, business negotiation

1. Confirm the file name and file update time with the designer or project leader;

2. Analyze the effect that the customer wants to achieve based on professional experience, and assist the customer to solve the problem;

3. Process feasibility analysis, and the differences in the final realization;

4. Confirm the product quotation, delivery time, location and delivery method, and draw up the prototype production contract, which is to be confirmed by the customer in writing.

Fourth, split the image file

1. Review the integrity of 3D drawings;

2. According to the product process, it is convenient to make, and the parts are divided according to the habit of CNC engraving and milling. Ensure that the appearance of the product is not affected;

Fifth, CNC programming

1. Write the CNC engraving and milling path according to the processing method;

2. Order raw materials according to the product process;

3. Set the tool type and processing speed according to the material characteristics;

4. Write CNC engraving and milling path and engraving and milling speed according to equipment performance.

Sixth, prepare materials

1. Select materials according to the process description and BOM table provided by the customer;

2. Cut the material according to the material size marked by the programming engineer;

Seventh, CNC processing

1. Transfer the data edited by the programming engineer to the CNC machining center;

2. According to the program list, select the corresponding tool for calibration and engraving and milling;

Eighth, the first inspection

1. Return the processed parts to the programmer to check the quantity to ensure the quantity is accurate;

2. Each processed product is measured with a caliper to ensure that it is within the tolerance range with the customer's drawings;

3. Check whether the part material is consistent with that provided by the customer's POM table;
